On 7th January 2010, at Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, 45-47 Ben Chuong Duong, District 1, HCM City, Godaco Seafood and Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange held ceremony to welcome the listing and first trading day of Godaco Seafood stocks.
This is according to Decree 800/TB-SGDHCM dated 30th December 2009 about the listing and first trading day of Godaco Seafood stock. The ceremony was joined by 100 participants, mostly potential investors of the company. Godaco Seafood has become the 225th company to list stock in the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange with stock ticker AGD.
Godaco Seafood company, prior named Godaco Trading Limited, was established under approval of Ho Chi Minh City Ministry of Planning and Investment on 30th October 1998. On 11th May 2007, the company became Joint stock company with business license number 530300064 issued by Tien Giang Ministry of Planning and Investment. After several rounds of capital increase, charter capital of the company reached VND80 billion. Currently Godaco Seafood has 3 subsidiaries: Godaco Trading Limited, An Phat Limited, Viet Duc Seafood Limited.
Under the business license 530300064 issued by Tien Giang Ministry of Planning and Investment, Godaco Seafood businesses include farming, processing and exporting seafood products such as clams, pangasius, fillets, squids, octopus, shrimps, crabs and other seafood products. Pangasius contributes the most to the revenue and net profit of the company over the year.
Raw materials to the processing factories come from farming & catching. The contribution from farming has increased over the years. The benefit of farming is the control over the raw materials and the timing to meet the customers’ order. Since 2007, the company has developed more fishing farms to control its raw materials, meet the increasing standards and reduce raw materials risks.
